would a type 9 gearbox fit a clio 1.4 16v engine for rwd

In short no.

Would need a custom adaptorplate and flywheel.

Also have to ask why ? Tis a shite lump

Ye why? if your building it for competition and need to keep it 1.4 for the regs, there are much better options

Zetec se sigma engine is a half decent 1.4. Seen 160 bhp before from a itb set up.

Not sure on bellhousing availability for that either tbh, it's not the same as a Cvh
