I want to build a n/a cosy over summer and was curious to the tools you guys thought would be helpful.

Piston hammer or a soft hammer.

Moly grease

A decent set of micrometers and dial guages if you are actually building it properly rather than just bolting some bits together.

Really depends what spec you are building it to, if its just re-ringing a tired engine then you need basic tools only and can do it in an afternoon, if its goign to be rebored though then you need to be checking clearances propely.

Its a full engine rebuild. I have a spare head and a block, whats some porting and some piston work hey

is it only me thats a bit concerned he wants to build a n/a cossie engine but doesnt have any tools!!!

can you give a bit more background on what spec and what you have done before engine wise to give us a better idea of your understanding and what you might need.
