Default Building or how much for a spit?

how much (minus wheels) to build a spit to be suitabley sturdy enough for a mk3 escort or sapphire?

can weld it together myself with correct dimensions etc, just doing 2 restos and hopefully use 1 jig on 2 jobs

I bought one from Mk2 Mania

http://www.mk2mania.co.uk/

I just wanted to get on with the resto rather than spend my time welding a jig up and with the deluxe jobbie you can just wind the car up off the axle stands.

i have the mk2 mania deluxe one, exspensive but well worth it and you will be able to sell it on for damn near what you paid for it, ive used others in the past that are not as well made and balanced and it becomes a two man job to turn the car over, you can turn a car over on the mk2 mania one with two fingers

agreed, people will happily pay for a built one the cost you paid for it, near enough!
