Ha ha ha,I had a 306 with the same issue.
The motor factors told me it wasn't uncommon to see them with completely different calipers each side!!!
They always told me bring the pads in when changing them,I'm sure we had to file a notch in a set once as they were the nearest we could get!!!
Anglo/french build quality at it's best.

I think there was 4 different types of brake shoes for it.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
A wide variety of cars here then not to sure what a matiz is I'm guessing it's a shitter lol as I've never heard of one and don't think I can get a decent focus for the money do keep looking at mk4-5 fiesta but not sure what insurance is gonna be like compared with some other cars I'll also be keeping the cossie on the road that's £105 fully comp for me and the mrs I'm 26 with 5yrs ncb and she is 28 with 2yrs no claims thru admiral been with them 4yrs both have no points or claims so what would be the best way to insure a shitter as well as I've tried admiral multicar before and it wasn't any cheaper tbh
Have i read your Cossie insurance correct? £105? Is that for a year on a standard policy or limited mileage classic car policy? That seems very cheap, i'm older than you, have more NCB and insure a scabby Mondeo for about £289 for the year.

I had a 106 XND for a couple of years.
Cheap as chips to run and fix. I even snapped the cambelt and fixed it for under 300!
Hardly ever needed to use the clutch for any gear change, up or down. Best car I've owned for that.
Could get 530-560 miles from a 40 litre tank

Mine was a phase 1 with square headlights.
I put the interior out of an XSi in it as the seats were miles better!
I did have a habit of locking the keys in it. Once I was in the middle of nowhere so I had to snap a bit off a tree, wedge the top of the door open, snap a coat hanger in half, use a headphone wire on the hook with a loose knot and snag it on the inside door lock leaver. Bear Grylls would be pround
Happy days!
Also got anywhere in the snow with it's pizza cutter sized tyres.
Another example of cheapness, a re-con driveshaft with 2 CV's was £36, and they gave me £25 for my old one on exchange!
