Question yb cylinder head coolant supply querry ?

julian godfrey is selling blanking plates for the back of the yb cylinder head .why would they do it & how will the head get cooled down

Might be down to moving the outlets to the core plugs on the inlet side of the head as per the wrc escort engines.

I'll look at my dads wrc engine Monday and see if this is the case

That plate looks like it only blanks off the sensor plate at the back of the head.

I'd imagine the massive pipes going into the front of the head will supply it with enough water to stay cool

i am more curious as to why they would do it to be honest Jimbo but if there is positive gains by it ,it might be worth looking into .

My car would be perfectly fine, I don't rely on my blowers to cool the engine, unlike some shitboxes

If you had any sense you'd realise that the ebay part is for most likely a rallycross engine, not a road car.

The wrc mod brings returns from the inlet core plugs back to the header tank to prevent hot spots in the head
