Dont know about this one, maybe you lot will Im on a provisional licence and a named driver on my grandads car so he can sit next to me when I drive, Just a question... Will it bring my insurance premium down when I go on my own next year? Or dont no-claims work when named?

You won't accrue any no claims unless the policy is in your name. As soon as you pass your test you'll need your own insurance or if you only borrow your grandads car occasionally you will need to pay an additional sum to the insurance company as you are a bigger risk when you pass
