Where would you find one though? havent seen one on the road for a long time.

Had one or two back in the day, a silver 2.o GL like that photo, and a blue 2.3 which was great for going sideways but a pile of junk in all other ways (this was 1988).

The best wheels would be the standard rostyle steel wheels if you can fit decent brakes under them.

Look out for rust, knackered bushes and springs with wonky suspension, water leaks into the cabin.

I like the estate, a nice 2.3 special edition, but even better would be a granda ghia X estate 2.8, which sadly has gone the same way as all the Cortinas - to the scrappy.

Mk2 cortina savage now that's a beast. Another fictional thread from josh XD.How's the nova treating you ? I've ordered a timing light so when that comes you time it up properly. My advice is save and a car you really want don't buy cheap it'll b a dog like my capri. we all live and learn and a 3 litre 24v cossi with a lsd diff would make it a toy :-D
