Don't you just use the CVH headgasket? Yes Felpro are total shit! I had one, never again, blew through the rings and killed compression on 1 & 2. Fitted an OEM Ford one and it was perfect up to being put away. Started on the key on Sunday as well

if a 1.8 then rst, if 2.0 then get head welded up and use a zetec one.

have a look at the quantam/zvh site, iirc the front of the head is built up with weld then skimmed flat, allowing the zetec gasket to be used

just seen the sitech one its a good few quid more than the cometic one, and it says sizes up to 2.0mm thick going up in 0.2mm at a time, would say a 2mm alter my compression compared to a 1mm?

thanks for all the advice people
