Default eBay now showing your postcode

I've just updated my iPhone on the latest eBay app and can't believe theyre showing peoples post code
If I was selling my car I would certainly not want everybody knowing which street i lived in.

Anybody else think this is a stupid idea?

even with guntree when you enter a postcode it does not show it and only puts a arrow in the area not at your actual door, silly mistake by them to be honest

CheeRS Lads exactly what it should say

Just to add a bit to the security when buying things off the bay and its a random member/name send the goods to an address where the car doesn't live they are a lot of sharks on the bay and that's how they get to know where the cars are,

all the reputable boys are sweet as nut as am I

does it really make that much of a difference including your postcode? unless you tend to leave things laying around unlocked and un alarmed that is.

It does help criminals trying to find and steal particular cars to order IMO.

It's a massive problem if you have your vehicle at your property - we all know the new way to steal cars is with the key's which also means home intrusion which often includes serious violence so yes it's a really big deal.

stop worrying so much, not everyone out theres a bad guy wanting to steal your rusty old ford. no wait now i think about it your probably right. as soon as the postcode goes up hoardes of thieves will be heading your way to stalk you out , waiting to pounce as soon as you go out to get their hands on your bangers
if they really want your car theyll contact you to get your address and turn up in the dead of night to steal it anyway.

locks and alarms make no difference to some people, especially when they know what house the keys are kept in thanks to ebay

Hence people make sure buyers are genuine before giving out address details..
That option has been taken away.

those total clowns are making a fortune off it, in fact they are so good, people despise the site so much they hurry back to give them more money by buying and selling on it.

yeah they are the clowns,

Im sure theyll be plenty of complaints and theyll remove it. I cant see any point in showing a post code as it already shows your city.
