710 is really well featured, and omex in general tend to be very reliable.

Ps

What is your reason for wanting aftermarket, just to give you a better choice of tuners, or cause you want to tune it yourself, or are you looking for some feature the standard ecu doesnt have?

is that the only diference?

not really worth the extra expense just to run 8 injectors, when 4 modern injectors are more than enough big bhp

I would personally go for the GEMS EM36 - the Omex 710 was designed by GEMS I believe but the software is from 2005 so is quite outdated on functionality.

The GEMS is about 1400 I believe - quite expensive but definately an investment. My tuner got me an AEM ECU which has every feature I wanted for Ł1k and runs a more upto date version of the GEMS software - more than the Omex but once i factored in the boost controller which i needed as the boost management is quite simple on the omex, it was no more compared to say the Omex 710 and Apexi AVCR. With the GEMS you can also map the boost but gear, RPM and speed etc

I have used the 600 on several engines, mostly 20v turbo Audi/VW's and had great results with them all, why didn't you get on with it??

710 is fully sequential for 4 injectors or batch for 8, 600 is batch for 4 injectors.

There is another difference.

710 is sequential on the injectors on an 8cyl car, but wasted spark on the coils.

No its not the only difference, go and read the spec sheets, there is a lot more between them than that.

Key thing is the extra outputs for both fuelling and ignition, so you can run fully sequential and coil on plug etc.
