I need to complete remove all material fromt he base of my Recaro seat
It needs welding![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
I have removed the base section and undone some of the clips, but cant see how the rest comes apart
Anyone help?
Also does anyone have a step-by-step guide as to repair a self reclining seat LOL
Basically, when it normal position you can rock it front to back slightly so something is not catching correctly inside the top section
Any useful information greatly appriciated, thanks

they are all held on by plastic rails that clip on the the metal edges. you have to hold the edge of the fabric where it clips on and roll it away from the metal.
once you do one it's easy

the base section ot the back section ya talking about, when i took mine apart to was the trim ( yes i used to actually take care of my cars back in the old days
) the base would strip down totaly BUT the back i couldnt remove the foam sides
on the inside edges theres tabs and a wire that goes inside the cloth to keep it tight and the other side are the plastic clips, when sticking back together ya will find is easier to hook the plastic clips on first then feed the wire on to each tab
as for the back part that can be a right coont but ya start at the top section and the work ya way down 1 side at a time
any probs then pm me
infact i still gpot a set of 88 spec recaros stripped apart somewhere
oh and a hint, when ya get the fabric off then steam the foam to make it go back into the proper new shape is used to be when new and when they go back together they wont sag
then ya trim will be good as new, oh and ya can wash the fabric in the washing machin on a handwash seting, mine where covered on all kinds of dirt and when they came out they was mint

I'll have a go
Does anyone know how to stop the front/back motion of the FRONT SEATS, you can literally move the top section front and back and it clicks, so something needs to be fixed someplace in the top section of the seat
I mean, base section (bit you sit on), top section (bit ya back touches LOL)
