Thanks for the PM confirming the Chip spec and rev limit of 7250 as you said I didn't do the rev counter bridging mod on the back of the tacho itself as the car died soon after doing the green wire join mod, and as the counter was working, I simply didn't get round to thinking about the rev counter after I got the box swapped over. Just noticed one day it was working, next time I looked 2 months later it wasn't.

If I try and do the tacho mod first, that should see if the counter then works. If not then sounds like I'll need to post the ECU off to you for new inductor.

I'm guessing you fitted the closed loop / wasted spark board in the ECU? If so then very nice work matey, was beautifully soldered and neatly attached Looked factory fitted rather than bodged in there.

See my last post Chip, boost and rev figures already gained thanks to SECS, thanks for the offer though

Had an email back from the Rolling Road owner holding his hands up to a set up error on his behalf with the RPM scale - he has offered to redo the run anytime FOC, which to be fair I wouldn't expect anything more.

Will report back when it's been rerun, not in any hurry though, as it's 45 miles away and I'm happy the car drives fine so not much other than a more accurate graph to be gained from going there again.

Thanks once again to everyone for all their help and input

That's mighty impressive from a T34, would explain why my 320 bhp Evo 8 couldn't overtake him down the straights at Donnington.

Shame he held me up constantly for 2 sessions on every section of the track bar the straight If I was in anything other than my at the time new to me Evo, I would have given him a helping nudge to get out of the way.

Drivers like him are why I bought my latest Evo, any goon can bury the throttle in a straight line

Nice power figure though, and torque curve looks like it peaks and stays flat for a good few RPM... bet that drives lovely

simon, if he ran it to the 7250 limiter, and it showed 8 on his graph, the sync was only out by 10%, so only going to make a few hundred rpm difference to where it spools and 30lbft or so difference in the peak torque figure.

if the difference is 5200 versus 3800 like you mention for when the boost comes in though, that would make a massive difference! (100lbft difference if its out by that much)

Just shows that even with a really good set of rollers like a dyno dynamics, they still arent actually idiotproof so if the person operating them doesnt do his job properly the results will be nonsense.

I think for my own peace of mind that I'll get it run up on his RR again, with the settings correct, and maybe another DD roller set up elsewhere just to 100% confirm it.

Shame that apart from Veysport at Verwood at 45 miles, the next nearest I think is Alan Jefferies or AP Motors in Plymouth.

Not sure where else in the South West has a Dyno Dynamics rolling road.

Ass dyno is where it's at!

Just seen there's a new Dyno Dynamics rolling road just off junction 28 on the M5 : http://subarutuner.co.uk/

Think I'll be going there for a comparison run

AP Motors in Plymouth doesn't look like it has a DD roller, but another brand. Would like to stay with Dyno Dynamics.

Sounds like the sort of place I ought to visit then, would love 500 bhp in my Escort

Think the place at Cullompton will be my best bet, so will look to going there in the next couple of weeks.
