ok so i assume the light is an led or bulb on an 02???? Anyway to "break" the led if its that? It also puts the service light on so need to break or take bulb from that!!! Happy without the airbags as aftermarket awesome steering wheel and all leather retrim!

That's the price you pay for having an uber rare, uber fancy, genuine Noble steering wheel mate.

Think you can, you need to place a resistor of sutiable value across the airbag connection, thus no longer an open circuit and fools the ECU into thinking the airbag is present.

wont that be from a certain year though? If my light is off then i doubt they will realise?

to edit the resistor works and actually fools the car to think it has airbags so light on then off after check!

Jan 2012 any car originally fitted with an airbag from new will have to be (a) present (b) the light will have to sequence as per manufacturers spec, all this info is automatically printed on the vt 40 for the tester verify its correct.

Woulden't be so sure, if the car left the factory with one it should be present, at least that is the stance I would take if I were the tester!

Pretty sure you could get around it the same way you could get around having a de-cat previously... stick on an airbag'd steering wheel, MOT the car, then replace with your aftermarket genuine Noble jobbie.

Nothing would surprise me at the moment!

Just look how things are going at the moment with 'LEZ' and vehicles having to meet 'Euro 4', there are going to be vast amounts of vehicles scrapped from that, unless you pay to have a DPF fitted!

I have the og wheel with airbag so should be ok lol, but i cant see it coming in because of the scrapping situ, airbags are stupid money, and if older than 10 years they aint garanteed to work!

If the warning lamp works in accordance with the type of air bag fitted it will pass, and its for all air bags and pre tensioners fitted.
After market steering wheels with no air bag fitted on a car that would of had one from new will fail, it will mean alot of people will be swapping steering wheels for an mot
