Hi there was wondering if any 1 had come across this my neighbour has got a ka as soon as u turn the head lights on it runs like crap to me this sounds like bad earth or some thing any 1 come across this b4 many thanks

 

bad earth / alternator prob i'd say for sure.

does it do it with the heaters + wipers on etc, anything drawing large current?

 

I'm not sure only had a quick check I'm 99% sure it's bad earth it idles fine but as soon as you boot it it's running like crap as well as that the rear light is playing up so raise my suspicions that could be bad earth

 

earth would be first check as its the cheapest.
