lololol my 300hp FWD fiesta run a 12.6 i would think a 630hp RWD jag should be quicker than a 12 imo

With 630bhp I would want a low 11sec 1/4 even in RWD, what did Lee catermole manage with less than that? I know Lee had a decent setup and very good at launching too but still

its an auto, he says if you just stamp on the gas it just lights them up, i dont think hes been propperly dragging it, just had a go one day.

says you need to give it about half throttle to get it to move, then stamp on it and it grips.

i know fa about jags so was just asking the question

The book speeds are:

2000 Jaguar XKR 0-60 mph 4.9 Quarter mile 13.3
2000 Jaguar XKR Convertible 0-60 mph 5.2 Quarter mile 13.5
2001 Jaguar XKR Silverstone 0-60 mph 4.8 Quarter Mile 13.0
2003 Jaguar XKR Convertible 0-60 mph 5.2 Quarter mile 13.8
2003 Jaguar XKR 0-60 mph 5.1 Quarter Mile 13.4
2006 Jaguar XK 0-60 mph 5.9 Quarter mile 14.5
2007 Jaguar XK Convertible 0-60 mph 5.6 Quarter mile 14.2
2007 Jaguar XKR 0-60 mph 4.4 Quarter mile 12.8

So with 600+bhp it's perfectly plausible.

You can buy a Paramount XKR new with 500bhp their top kit is the Paramount 600 & to get that we are talking many thousands to achieve. have a friend who had their 500 kit from new, its a big old lump & was not as fast as you would think he sold it to buy a BMW.

still dubble the power and rwd with less lag

en as said by dan most of the times hes quoted are in the 13's so dubbling the power should knock more than 1 sec off the times better than a 12.6 would you not say?

If he had doubled the power then possibly... but 630bhp isn't doubling the power.

....and I'm not convinced that a basic chip and pulley upgrade would produce that much extra power. Also it gets harder and harder to knock time off the 1/4 mile time the faster you go, so going from a 16.5 to a 15.5 isn't too difficult, but going from a 13.5 to a 12.5 is a bit more tricky.

lololol

lads. shakespeares times aint accurate. santa pod times are more accurate. any car that makes say 14s at santa pod does 13s at shakespeare. this is because if you be careful and notice the track shakespeare is flat. where as santa pod is SLIGHT uphill..

What were your times at both tracks?

Well to me then that makes Santa Pod less accurate as now it's a hill climb track.

Shakespeare is not 1sec faster. I tend to run upto 0.3s faster there, but there could be many reasons as I've never run both tracks the same day.

Funny Ive run consistent times at both venues, and times also matched by my GPS/Accelerometer device.

I'd say the above is a bit of a BS statement.
