Thinking of gunship conversion.

Gunship is the name for a conversion that NMS do which is only performed on the very best examples of cars and engines in the very best working order and is both reliable and fast and proven - as per other comments.
One of the Ford mags ran a feature on the Gunship conversion with Popeye and Tiff and they both produced very respectable times for what is a basically standard car.

I had gunship on my 3 door very impressive and well worth the cost, Karl is very good and will explain anything you want. I had 500 cooler but stayed in yellows, Karl did advise a level 6 ecu which I have now got and I also have had a 360 deg thrust bearing in the turbo so will be back in the spring for a setup and map tweak as have rebuilt the engine since having it done. Must say as a road car on STD suspension and brakes it is more than enough and I don't want to change anything like that on my car as want it to be near stock.

I was there on the day at Brunters (with Karl) and have been out in numerous Gunship cars and for the money its out and out and pound for pound one of the best conversions I've been in.
PM Tiff he'll no doubt tell you more - Boxer if he's still on here had one done as well.

Its basically a mapping technique that NMS use to give high torque and peak boost in the midrange and the boost drops off towards the rev limit. Just been discussing mine with Karl at the minute. Im going for a Stage 3 gunship map. Running with a T34 and 803's it peaks in the midrange @ 30psi tailing off to 20psi at high revs. apprently giving 340bhp and 370lbft of torque. Apparently midrange acceleration is blistering
