Default Buying a car from Belfast????

Hi Guys

After a little advice please, i am looking at buying a car from Belfast at the weekend and just wondered whats envolved

Do i have to register the car with dvla or will that all be taken care of there end?

I dont want to re register the plate i would rather keep the date less irish plate is that ok?

You will need to register with the DVLA and you should be able to retain the current plate.

Likewise when we are buying from the mainland. It would be much easier if you can get the whole V5 from the owner. As trying to post documents between the two dvla and dvlni is like picking your nose with a lump hammer.
Total waste of your life as both departments are useless fucks.
