My Rs turbo is ruined am gutted.
Well am pretty speachless and in shock but here goes, me and a mate was driving down the motorway when passing a service station when a wagon was coming out the service station on the slip road there was also a wagon in the slow lane who signaled to pull over straight away literally no warning! Hitting me on my front passenger side wing.
Am so upset and in shock can't believe it really can't, spoke to insurance company already waiting to hear back tomorrow but by what I explained to damage to be the said it sounded in reperable (right off)
Been in tears and still am! Can't describe how am feeling.
Here's some pictures

Wow that looked seriously mint must be gut wrenching to have your pride and joy destroyed like that. Out of interest how did you get the dent at the rear? Did you spin or did the shunt make you hit something else?

Parts Restoring Nutter
Fuck me Rich, gutted for you pal.
Especially after all that restoration work too.
Not what you want to hear but I would be buying it back and stripping it down for parts to at least try and claw some money back from it.
Still gutted for you though bud

st170 breaking
looks repairable
as said if the gaps are correct cut off the bent and weld in some straight
its not like the a pilar is pulled up or anything
wing
inner wing
front panel
bonnet (may repair)
i'd square up the 1/4 myself
front bumper and some lamps
i ecpect something suspension wise will be tits and the wheel but not massive bills, dont let th3 insurance take it

thats truly gutting mate
correct me if im wrong somebody, but if its a non fault accident, and its a claim against the other party, cant u demand its repaired, rather than written off, or something to that affect?
its not a 5 minute repair i wil admit, but its not a lost cause by any means, with the bonnet and bumper and wing gone, it will soon start looking a lot less destroyed
hope it all works out ok for ya anyways mate

when my 3dr got wrote off they estimated the damage to be at least Ł8300 and it was insured for 10k. they most definatly would not repair it, and i still have not had a payout!
and that was in december 2010!

ah, fair enough, i was just always led to believe the usual 60% of the value for repairs upper limit was waived in non fault accidents, or at least slightly more lenient. would be nice if that was the case for this car, as structurally its not a bad repair really.

Terrible news bud, really sorry to see that happen to such a nice looking car. As others have said, at least there was no damage to flesh and blood though, on the bright side.
Hope it gets sorted out and she can live to fight another day, chin up

Gutting mate, and I see you're not far away from me either. I do a lot of driving and the amount of inconsiderate idiots on the roads these days is amazing.
People who don't look as they come up to roundabouts and just keep going and expect you to get out the way of them.
People who seem to take it as an afront if you try and overtake them and speed up.
Has undertaking been made legal in the highway code because so many people do it.
And that's just a few of the things I see. The roads are dangerous these days.
And just tonight I had a learner driver with instructor pull in front of me as I was going round a roundabout, and the instructor didn't even stop them.
I would say they will write that off because they're supposed to repair them with all new parts and you can't get some of them now. But you could try and buy it back and get it repaired yourself if it's not too bad.

It Wasnt Me!
That could be repaired by a good bodyshop no bother!
Looks bad but once you take off the bent metal you'd be surprised.
car looks too clean not to fix it, either write it off, buy it back and fix it so its on the register, or forget going through insurance and pay up yourself to keep it from being on the register...
Either way pretty gutted for you i'd be devastated also!
