Default Fitting oil temp gauge - Sump plug fitting query....

Right, picking up a new Splitfire today and it says it comes with the following:
OIL TEMPERATURE
Includes 6ft. of copper tubing and 1/2" NPT fittings.

Is NPT the correct threading for the sump on my RST? I've called nomad but he cant get any in for another 2 weeks or so. So basicly will this fitting work?

Cheers,
Dan

I have, but could only find the fitting kit that came with the mechanical one.
So how is the electrical one fitted?

:EDIT: found it: Includes 1/8 inch electric sending unit, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch NPT adaptors.

ok it has two bosses (1/8 and 1/2) and says they need to be welded into the sump and the sender screws into that.

Now my car is currently at my local garage being sorted for MOT, if i ask them to fit this will they have to do a full oil change?

On a RST??? steel sump so that' mean removing and welding the sump and them drilling and tapping the piece you'd welded on......... adaptor does exactly the same job but 5% of the work
