Default Fuel swirl pots?

Hi am looking into getting one but there is loads of diffrent sizes, is it just a case of bigger is better and also will i have to run a second fuel pump?
Ive been looking at a 1.5 litre tank. Dose anyone know if this will be ok for a 400bhp escort? and am running a 044 fuel pump, Is anyone just running one pump and a swirl pot? thanks if anyone has any info on this

Ideally you need a twin pump setup. Fisrt being a low pressure(lift) item to fill the pot which then feeds the main pump(044).
1.5 is plenty big enough but obviously you need a lift than can shift enough fuel so that the main pump doesnt evacuate the pot. Fairly standard issue lift would be a holley red/blue.

this is my set up,

i have a pump screwd to the rear with blue silicone around it (to stop noise) feeding from the tank to the swirlpot,
the main pump (bosch 044) feeding the fuel rail, the return comes in back to the swirl pot and then the top of the swirlpot back into the tank

the other "RED" thing is my fuel filter.

Would'nt i need a pump that will do the same pressure as the main pump? if the main pump can take out more fuel than the lift pump can put in won't it empty the swirl pot?

thanks

the lift pump, doesnt need to be high pressure,
it needs a HIGHER "FLOW" rate, there 1st pump wont make any pressure,
