Will be checking damper ratting when they are off, they are tarmac 909 jobbies, useing 909 rose jointed top mounts and compression struts, find it very firm on the road and a lot more controlable when it steps out, which is quite a lot

Leda 10" 400LB Front

650lb in the stock location we can run a rear coilover with our standard rear caliper location.

My car is a bit of a freak.

Ryan,
You're the one that is going to have terminal low speed understeer . 450lb IMO is way to hard for anything other than a dedicated track car - if that is all yours will be, then .

However, as has been pointed out it does depend on the damping rates as well.

People should get out of their heads that high spring rates = good handling . The tyre needs to be in contact with the road to give good handling . Speccing a spring rate that is too high will mean the bumps will cause the wheel to skip and jump off the bumps rather than follow the up and down undulations....

I used to run 400 front 250 rear - the rear was far far too hard so have gone to 180 I think??? to try to help it as it was WAY over sprung. Front is still 400 as the front is pretty heavy now LOL Not expecting good handling - but getting all corner weighted etc as we speak.

Marco,
And you CAN'T compare top flight correctly damped Bilsteins with el-cheapo after-market "Max-Power" slam-to-the-ground coilover kits .

Mike LOL

i know what your saying alot of peeps get mislead with tarmac bilstiens there are about 50 different spec's of tarmac billys and with loads of different ratings and rebound speeds........ all this has to be taken in to consideration to get the right set up

i have had tried 4 diffent sets tarmac billys and at long last i have found a good match for rd and track use

to many peeps want to cut corners and not do it right ,and thats why their cars won't handle just slap anything on and think it's going to work just because it might feel firm on the rd don't mean to say it will go around corners quicker it's really like you said a whole package and the tca's more than anything is a must

i don't know a great deal but i know what works because i have spent loads trying to get the best of both worlds and i 'm well happy with it

sorted marco
