because the vacuum hoses would all still be connected when it was doing the power run, being not cable tied on,on the way home the pressure would of blown it off then causing air leak, running lean etc

Damn straigt Chop, I'd be AT THEIR DOOR waving some kind of metal implement demanding some remedial action to rectify the damage that THEIR negligence caused.....

What if it's the MAP sensor sample line. Car on boost, Map sensor sees Atmo and doesn't add fuel..... Mars bar in a furnace is the phrase I seem to recall......

So that's 3!! I think a PM should be sent to EVERYONE present with advice to check the hoses in their engine bays to ensure that there are no more issues later on...

So:

- Turn up with it all intact and running fine.
- Put it into the dyno operators hands.
- They connect the car up to relevant sensors etc.
- Complete a power run.
- Operator didn't reconnect everything properly and didn't leave the car in the same state as it turned up.
- Owner drives car home and melts a piston because of this... assuming the piston melting was definitely a result of poorly re-fittted vac pipe.

Fuck that. I'd be absolutely fucking fuming if that had happened to me?!

Cheers,
Grant

Seemed a quick blast on the rollers - when i had mine done it seemed to be on for a lot longer almost as if they were building the boost up - i expected yours to go for ever to get the most out of it but it's as if it were cut short

Wow as for Moony Steve that's some fuck up on all those cars - does anyone on here work for PE that can explain why they never refitted clips to the vac pipe?

Word do not express how i would feel if my new engine went pop due to that kind of workmanship

I think Steve should contact PE Tuesday and explain what has happened and honestly PE need to sort this for him as it could damage their reputation badly as that is unreal coming from a company that has been in this game for as long as can remember
