was speaking to somebody today who say there is two type of t5 gerabox one from an american v8 thats suposed to be stronger than a cossie box is this true cheers

The box is merely a Mustang gearbox, so that may be the American V8? In which case no it's the same box minus one gear

i was under the impression that cosworth t5s are all world class boxes?the non WC boxes are weaker

non world class units have smaller syncros hubs etc etc and are *&%$

Some of the first statement IS true. TREMEC T5 is slightly stronger than a BORG WARNER T5, there are small changes to case and internal components, but is you get yours overhauled at a proper recon place they SHOULD put all the stronger stuff in your borg warner case.
