Default Ka turbo!!

Picking up a green ka of Ajc this weekend as my winter toy/ project! Going to collect some bits along with what I have in my garage and turbo it over winter as a bit of fun! Nothing special or out just 1.6 cvh on efi! Any pics or advice would be great I've heard you run a saxo power stearing pump ect but would like to know how people have made engine mounts ect and what gearboxs they run!

Cheers Dean

Use a KA power steering rack then plumb in a SAXO/106 POWER STEERING PUMP. Wire up to a relay/switch on dash. Then just flick on to use.

Will be doing mine next month as have sourced the parts now.

I would also suggest using a Ka duratec gearbox but with a Endura bell housing for better gear ratios

Screw just doing the dash - there is a ka near blackpool airport with barbie pink paint job and a love heart tail pipe that you could take inspiration from

I really like the idea of a ka turbo - i keep thinking of making a really cheap duratec turbo one for my daily driver once i have finished my current money pit

Don't think there's room as the rad has to go were all the pas gubbins would fit. The run pretty much a mk3 fiesta front sub frame ( v similar front arms, I ran sport ka front arms on my rs1800 for more caster/ less camber).

I'd go manual rack personally mate, could get a quaffe quick rack in there.

most of the ka turbo's ive seen don't use the rs crossover pipe . they normally come straight off the throttle body with a 90o bend towards the brake servo then 90o towards front of car .

similar spec to my old one blakey but mine was a 1.6 CVH again mounted the pump on a custom braket.

You need to get yourself over to the KA Klub as its a tried and tested method on the forum there.

dont you have to use the duratec gearbox for cvh and endura for zetec/zvh because of starter motor position?
