Default Polishing Chrome Question?

Whats the best way to polish your chrome/High polished engine bay bits? ive recently bought a bailey mirror image tank and bailey header tank for my saph and there well dirty, what i dont want to do is use something thats going to scratch the tanks, i want them to look like newagain whats everyones tips???

there is a chrome polish, in a gold tube cant remember what its called tho

Autosol everytime. Make sure you use a separate cloth for on and off though and don't get it on the paintwork as it's a bitch to get off!

theres also autosol shine, which is slightly less abrasive too.

that or even autoglym metal polish ive used with good results

Autosol might be too abrasive and leave swirls, what about braso?

If its chrome which i doubt then you need a cutting polish like autosol, but chrome just needs a polish with some super resin polish

autosol it, then brasso (silvo) it.
i tend to finish with meguires metal polish as it leaves a residue to resist corrosion too

Mequires metal polish is good as is brilliant metal polish.

I use this stuff, fairly expensive, but excellent results, especialy on untreated aluminium

Autosol will be to abrasive over a long period, autosol is good for cleaning your exhaust thats all i use it for.

autosol for polished alloy yes.for chrome never ever.if really dirty gently wash with soapy water let it dry then polish as you would your paint work.if just dusty use a antistatic mop to remove dust then polish as above

autosol is rubbish to harsh just scratchs it, use mequires in a green tube spot on mate
