went thru one at about 44 when it was a 40 limit

Speed cameras trigger off when your 10% over speed limit which will incase for you 43mph, then plus 3 (45mph).
you might be ok
did the camera flash at ya??

I would love to know exactly they have changed?
The 10% rule is referring to your Speedo speed and not actual speed.
If the rule were 10%+2 then this would be enforced in all speed limit areas including 30mph zones. If this were the case then it would be ok to do 35mph.
Ive heard so many myths regarding the 10% its laughable.
Going through roadworks would use a normal gatso so it would flash if it took a pic, so chances are youll be alright.

i guess the accident investigater who is a good mate of mine who works for northumbria police who told me this is wrong
the 10% + 2 applies to the spped they catch you at meaning you will not be prosecuted for anything up to that speed whether your doing 30/50/70 etc it dont matter as thats the rule and seeing as he does this for a living and knows the law inside out i'll take his word for it
