Dads had one for a while now, awesome thing, so so grunty! Pulls the covered trailer and car, wheels tyres etc no problem, wpuldnt think it had a trailer on 
He's not really had much go wrong with it, gearbox issue, not bad one just needed resetting, and rear diff whined a bit but has cleared itself, brakes if it needs some put genuine on it, and thats about it for his one!

good cars....
air suspension is good on it especially when you put it in sport you really feel it stiffen up.
the earlier v10's (pre facelift) seem to put down the power much more harsh....later ones seem to have a smoother power delivery.
currently have an engine out of one of these at work at the mo stripped down. (dont mean to put you off) lol.
if you need any info on touaregs pm me ive worked on touaregs and phaetons for 4 years now.

Mate had one and it was awesome,stupid power and a really cool wagon.
HOWEVER.
The economy is horrendous!!!were talking single figures under abuse but that was pretty much it for trouble.
He gave his up as it was costing too much to run,even on red!!!!
