Default Sapphire speaker upgrade

Hi Dudes,

Looking to upgrade the original speakers on my old sack, and wondered what I need to look for.

I just want replacement speakers for the existing locations, to keep it looking factory and all.

I believe the fronts are straight forward, the rears not so?

Your comments would be much appreciated

Thanks

Weeksy

If you wanna fit 6be9s in the rear you rather have to cut the metal for thrm to fit or make your own speaker surrounds so that the speakers are raised and dont catch.

What size are they from factory? 6 inches or something?

Thanks

A previous owner already chopped up the metal under my parcel shelf (and fitted a pretty solid MDF on in its place) to load it up with a pair of 8 inch 3 way Pioneers. The cone supports are now perished, so I'll be replacing them with their modern equivalents - I find the bass on 8 inch speakers much thicker than 6x9s, so if you're up for a bit of modification, I'd suggest that.

I had an MDF shelf about one and a half inches thick screwed underneath my original shelf.Pioneer 10 or 12" round speakers mounted to that.No chopping and you can leave your original grills in the rear.
