Default ACT out of range

I get this "ACT out of range" error on my pectel t6.
And it reads the value 50 all the time.

Figured it might have been a faulty sensor, but now i have tried 3 different sensors.

The two other sensors i tried was some that i had just lying about, now i dont know if they are really fragile so all three of them is broken? but i think it sounds a bit odd.

Has anyone had the same problems?

what driving conditions are the readings from?
if it's round town, then i'd say it'll be about right given the hotter air around at the moment.
if on the move at 40mph i'd expect it to drop considerably.

If it's reading the same all the time, clearly it is faulty, I have a ACT gauge(grand total cost of Ł3.50p!!) and it varies hugely esp on a hot day, no way will it be constant.

This is what i see:

Also on the page behind the error page it reads "ACT = 50"
and its constant on 50.

Anyway to measure the act sensor?
What ohms should i see when outside temperature is 20degree celsius?

on cossie both act and cts are at 20C 3.75K ohms or 3 volts.

I measured the resistance on all three of the sensors and it says no connection, so i assume all three of them are faulty...
Do these break easily?
ALS doesnt help huh?

About an hour ago i ordered a new sensor from matt lewis motorsport and it is now already marked as shipped!!

So the solution to this problem will hopefully arrive in the mail shortly.

Thanks for the help

could be a wiring fault with the ecu, prehaps a burnt track or faulty component within its electronics. How old is the ecu? Sounds like a v-ref voltage problem maybe? you will have to pin out the wiring to the act sensor and also in the ecu, also i would have a look at the pcb and see if it all looks ok with no burnt tracks/electronics

its connected to a pectel t6.
I measured the wiring and it was fine.
Ill continue to troubleshoot if the new act sensor does not make a change.

so the ohms of the sensor are ok, and the ohms of the sensor plugged in from the ecu plug are ok?
In that case its an ecu faullt then, bent pin, burnt board or component, time for a repair or new ecu

no, when i measure the sensor i get no connection, in other words infinite ohm.

the sensor is knackered if it is open circuit
