DVLA are very hit and miss when it comes to details.
Cars over the years I've scrapped have been listed as unlicensed with some but others the details just vanish when you try to see about tax etc, a while back I looked and 6 out of the 8 cars I can remember were still showing as unlicensed, despite the V5 being filled in and even the recyclers in some cases faxing the dvla, and have evidence of all being scrapped, but dvla say I need to prove it with evidence now if I want them removed!!
