can i put st170 clocks in a normal focus.

if not what needs to be done

You can but you may have a problem with the illumination. Thats all I know sorry.
You'd probably be better off going for some lockwoods unless of course you want the dials because of a raised rev limit etc.

yeah in near future plan to fit 170 engine

why illumination arnt they same bulbs and stuff

The ST170 dials illuminate in a different way, i.e. the whole dial face illuminates.

They plug in and work but I don't think the illumination will work. You can get a conversion kit to make them work though?
Someone had some already converted dials for sale on here?

You need to fit the oil pressure gauge too as that has the inverter for the lighting. This will involve retro fitting part of the st170 loom. Or you can use an aftermarket inerter.

Just fit an inverter , no oil gauge , wires, pligs or looms needed . job done !
