This place makes me laugh.
I started a thread about 3 months ago asking if compbrake where any good and I don't think there was one bad word said.
Then someone has a problem and everyones out the woodwork, glad I never went for them now

Several people basically telling you to go AP/Brembo instead:

ive got the bmw brembos and will be fitting 324mm focus rs discs. i got the brackets from caprisport about £40 i think.
i dealt with compbrake once and it took them ages to send me the track rod ends i ordered.
loads of compbrake stuff fitted so is this just a small number of faults being highlighted or oare they substandard?

I noticed the other day the compbrake ebay shop has nothing for sale.
Tony is 100% spot on, even delivering stuff to my door before payment had been made!. Is he still selling stuff?

2wd - I use Hawk HP+ and have found them very good, quite happy to continue using them.

If i was to change i think it would be to Ferodo DS2500 or DS3000, as i used to use the 2500's when i had std 2wd calipers.

and I'm quite interested in what you and others have to say about these and other CompBrake produkts ?

Also I see that people dont like the Hawk pads ...can anyone tell me what the problem is and if you should find some replacements, what would be the best for fast road and a ocatioanally track session ???
Those are Brembo calipers by the looks of it, so not really a compbrake product at all?

I've bought several Compbrake big brake kits (at least 5 sets), adjustable TCAs, compression struts, pedal boxes and some other bits and pieces, never had any problems. Some of these are being used on rally cars and perform very well.
Everything has been bought through Tony though, which has always been extremely helpful, cant thank him enough for good help and advice

Well I know that they looks like Brembos ... but if you look closely on the pic it says compbrake on the side. But I got the understanding from the dokumentation that the cal's was from a "Well known brake company" .. and they looks like Brembos and as I said .. they work well (only thing is about the pads ... people write differet things ... dont know what to think, but until now I have done 7 traks and the car is still here )!!!

Could it be that Comp get them from Brembo and then "drill" (dont know the right word in english) Compbrake on the sides ?

2wd - I think the std kits come with the Hawk HPS (fast road), i requested a more track orientated pad (HP+).

DS2500 are great road pads that work well on track too.
