Iv'e seen this before on other forums, i'm 99.999% sure it's not in Dubai, there was a story to it but can't rememebr what it was, something to do with it being broken and left at a garage.
The RS200 is in an underground car park in Japan.
There are loads and loads of pics of supercars like that F40 that were left in Iraq and have been destroed since, sems like the middle east has lots of this type of thing, there's an abandoneed corvette stingray (hardtop) about 1/4 of a mile from where I am now in Oman.

When you are a Son, Nephew or whatever to someone who has oil riches valued at a Gazillion dollars, abandoning a car / cars with a value of $100,000 means nothing.

Taken from the Auto-Trader--
"Not all classic car investments work out as planned: in 1992, a Cardiff-based businessman bought a Jaguar XJ220 - which had a list price of Ł415,000 - and stored it away for safe-keeping. Ten years later, the liquidators of Marlborough Carpets found the car behind a bricked-up staircase at the company's warehouse; it has just 11 miles on the clock. However, given that a low-mileage example of this limited-edition supercar fetched just Ł85,000 at auction in Geneva recently, this ultra-low-mileage car has been valued at just Ł100,000, according to The Times.
The XJ220 was the fastest production vehicle of its time, until the launch of the McLaren F1. It boasted a top speed of 218 mph and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.8 seconds, thanks to a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing 542 bhp and 475 lb ft of torque.
It was intended to be Jaguar's answer to the all-dominant Italian supercars, but didn't really take off, and less than 280 were made. What a waste, however, to hide one in a carpet warehouse for ten years... and its owner didn't even get to drive it."

There's is no way that's a real F40. I'd put a lot of money on it being a replica, most likely Pontiac Fiero based. There's lots wrong with it, notably the fact that it looks too short, the swage line is much too angular, the there are no 'quarterlights' on the front windows.

Well thats those myths well and trully busted. But I do remember those stories about a lot of people loosing money in Dubai and just fleeing out of the country and leaving everything like a ghost town.

[QUOTE=TIFF;5524395]Found this XJ220 abandonded in the Qatari desert......

If this is abandoned why are the windows all squeaky clean and the tyres fully inflated ????
Clearly it had been driven there and was just very dusty.

Is that really a real RS200^? A great shame if it is, seen a couple for sale asking around the Ł100k mark.

My uncles mother in law now lives in Dubai and apparantly alot of buisnesses have gone under and they just flee the country. She said she has found numourous supercars just left on the side of the road full of sand with the keys left in. Vipers, ferrari's anything..
