Iv never understood why Ford never used the 4wd 2.3turbo as the basis of the focus RS or even ST seeing as they own mazda...
Same goes for the jag x type RWD or AWD why that wasnt used for the mondeo...
As for sleepers V6 galaxy, or 1.8t sharon or the T4 volvo every ones forgetting about!
Oh and Id have the bedford CF V8 over the sherpa

GMC syclone/typhoon ![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
![](http://www.gmcsyclonebroker.com/cars/06/fotos/01.jpg)
"Both the Syclone and Typhoon (SyTy) trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C 8 cm˛ turbocharger[1] and Garrett water/air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 engine with unique pistons, main caps, head gaskets, intake manifolds, fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a 48mm twin bore throttle body from the 5.7 L GM Small-Block engine. All SyTy's had a 700R4 (4L60) 4-speed automatic transmission. A Borg Warner all wheel drive transfer case split torque with 35% forward and 65% to the rear wheels.[1] Both trucks featured sport modifications to the standard suspensions. The Syclone was the first production truck to receive a 4 wheel anti-lock braking system. Output was 280 hp (209 kW) and 350 lbˇft (475 Nˇm).[1] The Syclone, when new, was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 13.4 seconds at 98 mph (158 km/h). Car & Driver tested the Syclone and it ran 0-30 in 1.3 seconds with a 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, the 1/4 mile was 13.06."
not bad for a yank

Good call, the Aerodeck's are a proper sleeper!
And the Sunbeam's fetch silly money these days.
I'd say both Octavia and Fabia VRS, the diesel Fabia is a cracking little weapon out of the box!
Saab 900/9k turbo's aren't too bad either considering the price you can pick them up for.
As said, T5 estates, S4's, Uno Turbo's if you can find one, most old AMG Merc's are fairly un-assuming.
What about a some Jap stuff, my mate just bought a Toyota Starlet Turbo, that's mental

Mates one was standard apart from shocks/springs, T1R's, manifold, exhaust and filter - 14.8 at Pod. Not "fast" by any means, but still plenty quick enough to see off Civic Type R's, DC2's etc over a quarter! The amount of "higher end" cars I've seen destroyed by ropey old chavvy looking VTS' is comedy

I still LOVE VTS/GTi's, nobody expects them to be anywhere near as quick as they are - They just have no right to go like they do ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

I do agree though, a lightly modified Saxo VTS/106 GTi is a fantastic little car and absolutely brilliant through a twisty section of road.

yes they are a "baby" turbo as you put it but it happens to be the same sort of size as the small turbo escort cosworth and look how well they go in standard trim

Rod, I have seen off many cars in a rover 220gti turbo, only running 1 bar, bikes evo,s ect, it would of had no trouble giving a standard 2wd a run for it's money, take your parkers book figures out your ass and get in the real world. Just look at the boys in the goon, not much out at Combe on it's ass?
