Ok, I have a small issue with short term memory as well.

I get in the shower and forget if I washed my hair before I have even finished showering so end up washing it twice.

Without fail I leave the house and lock the door, get in my van and start it, get out of the van and walk back to the door to check it's locked cos I can't remember locking and it's always locked.

I arranged one Saturday to have the tracking checked the following Sunday (so the day after). I got up at 10am when they opened and remembered at 8pm in the evening, 4 hours after they shut...

I do know that I am pretty over worked and have messed my body clock up a little (a lot) and need to get my sleeping habbits back to normal. This is not the first time I have had problems like this. I cured it by the following...

I had very erratic sleep patterns (5 hours sleep from 3am and getting up for work at 8am, getting up for work 8am Friday and not sleeping till 8am Sunday morning then sleeping for 24 hours etc. Very extreme I know). I religiously went to bed every evening between 10 and 10.30 pm. I got up religiously between 7 and 8 am. I ate my evening meal several hours before I went to bed (at least 2 hours). I went out on my mountain bike at the weekend for a couple of hours each day (just keeping active). I consumed alchohol and junk food in moderation.

I was very mentally and physically drained.....I stuck to this for a few months.

Now I am not as bad as I used to be but I still need to get a little more sleep and keep my sleep patterns regular and maintain it for a short period (as in a few months). I know the key to my problem is how badly I sleep.....

What the hell is that all about?!
I ALWAYS do that

takes me forever to remember what it was

& I was gonna write something else...but I've forgotten what it was

Love the hair washing forgetting scenario. Laughed my beans off - I do the same bloody thing most nights!

Oh yeah stress and generally being a bit edgy or nervous will play havoc with your short term memory. Long hot bath for you and a day chilling out.
