dont do it, show cages are fucking gay, do NOTHING to help handling or stiffness or safety and just slow you down with added weight while everyone except chavs, will laugh and snigger at the fact you have a show cage......

when im out driving the first thing they say is fuck its caged its running powerr. they dont realise its for show anyway!!!!

still have 5 people sit in it and hold on to it when its on full boost
and its there rather than being plain ..i have had all sorts of people ask what the power of the car is just by pointing at the roll cage they think any car wit a cage is powerfull hahahaha. i got it because i think it looks nice... and yeah as to handling it dont help no difference but it does no harm being there

No they don't because roll cages are not 4inch's thick, chrome, and they dont have a foot of clearance from the roof

mo iv never once had a dig at you but off them previous comments re the show cage then it shows the sort of people that you must mingle with, for christ sake fella if anyone looks at a few pieces of metal in the rear of your car and thinks that means it must be fast then they obviously aint got a clue.
iv got mates with standard bhp r5gtt, saxo vts etc with a full roll cage in them but this doesnt mean they are fast (on track they do stick like shit to a blanket though).
seriously show cages are max power era mate, on another note your rst looks really good fuck the evo off and spend your money on tuning the engine you already have, why bother with yb 4x4 as you state you got things in place for 400+bhp

just onto mos question lancia deltas are immense but they have there problems, now am sure any rst/cosworth or as me r5gtt owner would say we have plenty of problems lol.
the one thing that separates the above is the cost of fixing any prob you have.
if i had alot of money then id choose a delta integrale over any cossie etc as iv been in a few that blew my socks off

anyway people WHAT WOULD BE QUICKER OVER ON A AVAERAGE ROAD RACE ... FEW DUAL CARIIAGEWAYS .... A 400BHP YB S2 OR A ZETEC TURBOD FRONT WHEEL DRIVE 328BHP S2???????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????? SURELY THE YB and 4wd... headstart on launches etc and better around the roundabouts "

1500quid on a yb engine . the gerbox i have got[mates one] the diffs i could get for free. the wiring im going to get from a breakers place up here. the floor i have to think about though and the conversiion will be done by a good mate of mine . just thinking weather im doing the right thing i dont want any regrets later. so WHAT YOU LOT THINK!!

Mo your s2 looks really nice but that cage is fake you dont put fake stuff in cars full stop! ( max power ) rip it out and if you want a cage get a proper one it will transform your car in stiffness and look proper
But whatever you do dont put a post up sayin your got 5 chavs swingin on your fake cage and that makes it look good it dont.

i reckon, your looking at around 8k to convert your s2 to 4wd and thats before you start thinking about diffs, gearbox, yb, turbo, and all the other gubbins....
thats what a pal of mine was quoted for the conversion a while back....
and if you "mate" is doing it for fook all, he's either not gonna do it properly or he's as daft as you are.......

im almost finished converting my mk4 estate to 4wd and all the work has been done by me so cost hasnt been to bad but its a hell of a lot of work so doubt your mate will do it for free and properly,my cost so far
complete engine with l8 ecu,loom,green injectors and both manifols and turbo-1500
gearbox plus a rebuild as 2nd gear was gone-340
xr4x4 donor car-250
radiator and fans-50
4x4 inlet-30
turbo technics t35-250
plus on top of all that theres all the welding and other bits like rear prop,brake pipes,fuel pipes and fuel tank etc etc
