lancias are ok but quite hard to get parts for i would have thought sounds like u have cracked a ringland on the evo or blown a piston
if its a good deal buy it and sit on it a bit and sell it when theres money about, you blow a delta lump and its not fun too, least evos are about getting busted up everyday
evo 3 dude . blew the gearbox after only a few launches .. then got it sorted.. same day fucked the exhaust dropped from the back! and then sorted that.. then one day is dont fucking start... then it started so i drive it to a garage and on the way it just went off [launched it] and then it ran on 3s ..sounded like a scooby so went back home.. checked it over and it smokes now , oil leaking and sounds fucked. sometimes it hardly starts and then when it does it sounds fucked! going in tomorow and from there my mate is taking the bag of shit

4x4 transmissions on jap cars ie subarus evos the early ones pulsars aint very strong and dont like repeated launches be intresting to do a compression test and see want the results are
evo123.net is a good site for the early evos as mlr is mainly for the newer evos
yup but its toooooo dead. so i was on mlr and they only allow 20posts a bloody month. oh well . my rs turbo is still alive and kicking . rst tyrone have y seen my crome cage in it

my mate has a bodyshop and owns a evo 4 ... so said he would fix mine for me and do some rust that was underneath it . i didnt no it looked proper mint... only has a lil inner arch bit

Worth joining the mlr.
the evo has put me off now off all the evos. even when its sorted my mate is going to have it for cheaper i have had anough of it .. my rst is more reliable ! so with that money im going to cossie my s2 or was going to get a lancia delta, but now im more likely going to get it cossied 4wd
all i need is to get the bottom end forged. and remapped to 450bhp . turbo is big enough,injectors are 750cc so good for 600bhp plus. all is good apart from the cooler and the inlet manifold. then a remap and job done. thing is the gearbox at that much power will break and the car will need to be properly specced for the power like suspension,brakes etc. rather go for a cossie engine stage 4 running like 400bhp and 4wd. then it would be quick off the line and still be quick over all ....and reliable . now the problem is i have spent alot on it as it is so ill start once the engine goes which i dont think it is at the moment its still going on like its new .
