when i came on here yesterday i just a message that said" your password is 638 days old and has expired, please follow link and change password" or words to that effect anyways, so i did that now today it said " your password is 1 days old and has expired" does this mean i now have to reset my password daily ? lol

can a mod shed any light ?

Also you cant just agree on a thread any more other wise you get a message saying your message needs to be at least 6 characters long

Clear all your internet history/temp files & cookies. Close your browser and try it again.

There is a sticky in the bugs room.

 

Its not allowing me to do that, says its a previous password and needs to be different

 

I went to look on here at dinner time. It said my password was 1 day old and had expired. Ive come back on now and had no problems. Naughty hackers lol.

 

It did that to me on my laptop yesterday twice. I am now on the works computer and it is OK, will check it again on the laptop when i get home just to see if it is just my own computer if so a defrag and erase cookies session is the way to go me thinks.

 

It's perfectly ok and good practise to change your password! In this case though someone gained access through a mods account (Thats why the MODS were banned for a short time)

For security reasons thats why the passwords expired and you were forced to change in case security had been compromised!

It has nothing to do with the machine your on!

That's all well and good, but not very helpful when you log in, go to change your password, and then click the link and it never loads up. And if you don't reset the pw you can't see any part of the forum unless you browse signed out
