Default Racing motorbikes

Took the cossie out today and came across a biker who was up for a play, flat out in 2nd, 3rd and 4th the bike never stood a chance, stopped at a roundabout where the biker pulled alongside to point at the car and shout "thats fucking quick" lol, was a good felling watching him go backwards in the rear veiw mirror.
Back out tomorrow for another play

What bike was it?
I ruined one mates 600 hornet (and same to a similar style 1200 - Bandit I think) but my other mates k6 gsxr600 left me for dust in my Corsa LET.
If your racing a morern sports 600 or bigger and beating it you have got a genuine fast car imo.

My old bike would do around 116mph, 'on paper' lol, in first so I'm guessing you wern't playing with a modern superbike
Still no mean achievment considering power to weight differences between bikes and cars though

My R6 Stays with my mates 500hp Skyline untill about 120 then he pulls away.

But yes car vs bike is always a bit of fun as long as its a quick car... I got left standing by an Airel Atom!

he couldn't of been trying to hard.

Yamaha R6 2003
0-30 mph =1.6
0-60 mph =3.28
0-100 mph = 6.8
0-1/4 mile = 11.25 sec @130mph

in the real world an r6 would get destroyed by a 500bhp cossie. They just dont have the legs when the speeds get high

my saff is as fast on the move as my 98 r1 was! there is too roundabouts in basingstoke i could get 150 inbertween on the saff and do 148 (digi speedo lol) on the bike and i trusted the brakes on the bike more! but new 1000s 160bhp+ are a totally different game lol thats more 650+ power to play with them

Was prob 60mph onwards, initially he was with me but once i reached 75-80 in third and the T4 was in its stride he had no chance tbh.

but a tinkered with blade and an r6 are 2 different things.

A litre sports bike will destroy 99% of things on the road by a long way where as a 600 sports bike will struggle against a lot of performance cars

No reason to believe he wasn't trying m8, was a dead straight piece of test track on a dry clear day.

I saw this, and you forgot the bit where Mo Rs Turbo was on the hard shoulder having a cheese and onion sandwich while doing a bit of dogging with Imogen Thomas, as you went by at 120mph and he still managed to catch AND over take you!

I know exactly what you mean though puts the biggest smile on you face when some one isn't expecting it?

The only thing better than something like this is when you show up the likes of an R32 and when the poor uneducated puss ball catchs up with you he nervously asks
'What engine is in that?'
And my response
'Go home and google COSWORTH'

for those comparing 'their saff' against 'their R1' what sort of power is your 'saff' ??????

I've got a GSXR K3 @172bhp and a 2wd saff @432bhp 465lbft and I can tell you the saff has no f'ing chance 0-60, mid range, top end, rolling start or off a cliff.

Would say you need over 600bhp to keep with the likes of R1's

James has said his saph was as quick as his old R1 but a new version he did say was a different ball game.

I don't even know what power mines at tbh but its quick, its almost too quick for me to change gear in time tbh as i haven't had much time driving it.
