hi i was wondering if any of you can help after many years ago falling in love with the xr4i i have just bought an xr4i that was featured in fast ford with a janspeed turbo in it so plan to have lots of fun however during transport the trailor sliped and i think i have done the rad in can i get one fron any other sierra or dose it have to be an xr4i spesific one ??? please help i need to drive it NOW!

 

Hi mate would have thought it will be xr4i and xr4x4 how the pipes are and they are full height rad too. I have one in my loft if you want it with a pair of fans on it? Fordpower is a good site for you to have a look at alot of turbo technics and janspeed info and mostly v6 too.

Welcome to PF, you can still get xr4i rads no problem, but to start with when we converted my dad's to V8 we used a rover sd1 radiator, it fitted but was way too tall, so sat low down, got hit on a sleeping plod, cossie rads will of course fit also.
I see you're from norwich, I'm 20 miles away down B1108(past UEA), so you might see me sapphy around as spend lots of time in nch, we used Express Rads on whiffler road for a xr4i recore in the end.

thanks i may just see you around if you spot me give us a hoot, white xr4i body kit ect cant make up my mind if i should keep the xr spoiler or go for a whale tail as it has a coswort boot on it so would fit straight on ????

 

Keep it 4i imo 3 door cos are for chavs, personally I like the xr4i looks way better.
My dad's 4i gets around a lot, a black one, cossie grille, std spoiler very distinguishable by the fact it is on a "V" reg plate, my mum(norfolk born and bred) is superstitious and refused to go in the 4i due it it having 666 on the reg plate ha ha, so it was re reg with the donor cars(rover sd1) plate hence v reg.

my husband had one which was A666 i wouldnt let him drive it coz his name is damian!!!!! funny how superstitious us norfolk folk are lol
