As the poll is in my favour....should i dyno?
I am not sure i will as i am only doing it to get a figure to prove to YOU lot my public what power it has......in reality there is a closish base map for my engine on autronic enuff anyway to get it live mapped by Mark and me ..as lets be honest after the dyno you HAVE to live map too...so why bother spending hundreds of pounds and aggro if it dont need it? Its only gonna have one top speed run and thats on the second map session....this will tell how much BHP i got wont it?
Infact no...i actually know i am gonna get stick here...so how about this....the whingers/haters all chip in and buy me a dyno session to get the figure Lets be honest..say we need £700...that would be approx a pound each...ROFL Cool idea or what

better off impressing people with perofmance figures than an engine sat on a dyno.
if you want that just get it on a dynopack once engines in car.
so nah, dont bother

IMO yes you should, This will give you the figs from which you can work out how fast your car will go, It also does 98% of the boost mapping then the live map in the car,
If you dont do the Dyno then you will need to do the mapping at very high speed this is best done at Brunters as it is the safest place to do it, But remember how many do you want to do top speed,
If you have mapped on the dyno then most of the time the live map run in top is useuly the topspeed run then it is all finished in one swoop.

YES! Do it properly, you can hold the engine at what ever load, rpm and boost for as long as nessesary without the risk of going back to that spot at 8500rpm with the risk of killing yourself + ofcourse you get a TRUE power figure.

I can see his next post:
"Should i have muffins for tea?"
It really does seem like you have to ask peoples opinon on everything you do.
I'll pay for a power run (not complete mapping session) for you phil, as id be interested enough to see the power figure to warrant blowing 50 quid on finding it out.

Yes but i aint a genuis i am just quoting that even they do
I aint chickening out Jap Crap i just aint interested....of course Karls car would beat mine...its got a bigger turbo and he weighs half of me BUT if he wants to set a time on another day then do it and i will try to beat it ....It tickles me that the only car he will put his up against is a shonky diy effort

It needs to be done Phil . you need to know when it makes power & how it tails off so that gearing can be tailored to suit your Power Graph. Mark has asked me to suggest gearing when the graph is produced . Will be up to you if you take any notice. Be prepared to get your arches trimmed at the rear for bigger diameter tyres.
