best car alarm?

ive been looking at CAT1 alarms, clifford, viper ect as basicaly all the same just price, but i would like one, not to expensive but that will text you or alert you somhow of anyone going near it or tryning to brake in. or any that you may advise?

Im going for the Viper 480 XV which comes with a paging key fob..... £299 fitted seems to be the average price.

Ive seen lots of good reviews for this alarm and i believe they are part of Clifford.

I've got a pager system fitted on my Toad Ai606. I use it mostly at car shows when I'm away from the car or if I leave it in an area I don't like.

As said pager can be added to the ai606, I must admit I like toad myself, but the bad press that cliffys get is mostly down to bad install as with any alarm.
