injector movement?

Just put my modified 4x4 (i think) fuel rail, with aeroquip fittings welded on, onto my new ST escort inlet with rochester 1000cc injectors and i get a fair bit of movement in and out of the rail/head, not enough to reveal the o ring either end but too enough to worry me slightly
ive read a thread from a while back with people saying this was a problem with some billet rails but this is all OE stuff apart from the injectors
also did the 2wd or 4x4 rails have injector clips? as the ST fuel rail i have taken off (i want to keep the aeroquip fittings) used proper clips to keep them secure.
Thanks.

i cant help with question but make 100% sure they cant leak fella, i narrowly avoided total meltdown 4 weeks ago due to leaking fuel on boost from a dodgy rail/injector set up !
All the std rails I've seen have clips, there is often the odd mm or two of movement, but so long as they are a snug-tight fit in the rail/inlet will be ok if only a few mm, they won't move in use, more movement than this and I'd be worried about wearing a flat on a seal.
