wouldnt think it would be a major issue , anything can be made to fit ???

think its going to need extensive work to the transmission tunnel and bulkhead ,

in my opinion , chop the center of the bulkhead and tunnel out and get the engine in ,

you had a measure up ??

Ive seen a few other 6 cylinder lumps in there, like an M3 and a supra, so im sure it would be able to fit in the bay.

Fucking heavy though, must admit I would be going for something ally personally!

Seen one in a Mk2 Escort but not a Mk1.

Let me know if you get the project going

Sounds cool and different but as Chip said thats a massive engine that weighs shedloads, not my ideal choice in all honesty.

I'm presuming the Escort sitting in Glynns yard in your Avatar isn't yours then ? That was up there ages ago, think I recall the prop coming through the floor or something !

@ johnny bravo, yea that union jack cossie is my dads, been up glynns sumtime now along with a few of our other motors, dont recall anything a prop coming threw the floor though!! Been up there 2 many years, was gonna put running gear into a van but never got round 2 it... now just sits there doing sod all....

Not had a measure up as of yet, just been playing about with the idea, only main concern was it been a heavy lump, fabricating it wouldnt be to difficult.. will see...

no point the engines are very problamatic bad cam wear spining bearings ect there are better engines out there that are lighter to ! imo mk1 mk2 escorts a better car with a 9000rpm screamers rather tham a heavy turbo lump

S2000 lump is no longer different because so many people are realising how awesome they are, but that is what I would use
For the "different" side of things you could always grow grass on the rocker cover or something i guesss, generally with engines the popular choices are such because they are the right choices
