if you run out in a diesel dont you have to bleed to fuel line or something...

wont work, you will either have to tow start it and can take upto a mile or pull the fuel feed pipe off the fuel filter and and pull the fuel into to filter using a hand/electric primer.

Sometimes there is a prime pump on top of the fuel filter.

With regards to bump starting, get it in 3rd and tow it from a standstill. The timing chain tensioner works on oil pressure and bump starting can cause the chain to jump due to lack of oil pressure.

fill the filter full of diesel and crack off the injectors nuts (19mm), crank it over until fuel comes out and no air.

dragging it up the road is an option but id use that as a last resort

TIP: never let modern diesels run out of fuel! lol

I'm sure it's something like 75 pumps on the filter pump!

We had one at work that ran out of fuel. We had to fill 2 jerry cans of fuel to get it started as 1 was not enough and crack off the injectors.
