Default Vids of my track day from Friday at Snetterton

Starts off slow (as I hadn't been on the new track lay-out) and gradually gets faster) .
Still getting used to the gearbox, as a couple of times I let the revs drop too low and couldn't get it in second - it seems it needs above 2500rpm to go from 3rd to 2nd .
Unfortunately I didn't have the camera on during the first session, or I would have videoed Harvey spinning off in front of me .
Vids are in HD, so look good on the TV .

Yep, I drive to and (usually from) all the track days / shows etc and we're going to the Ring with it in July .

No, as it's a bit too close to the Ring trip and as I have to pay up front for that (a dedicated track day, rather than a public day), I don't want to risk something breaking. However, I might be there with the orange thing giving it a shake down .

Of course I know what it made originally, but have no idea after the flow / roller-bearing core mods were made to the turbo if they had any actual effect on power. It's supposed to be just over 500 .

It's just the vid, as all you do is give a brief lift of the throttle and it changes gear as rapidly as you can move the lever. On the down changes I am using the clutch.

I'm on a trackday at the Ring or I would have come along .

The Atom was a supercharged one - WTF did you expect ? I still passed it a couple of times LOL. The spec is listed on my resto thread . My arse would be for sale before the car LOL.

I did warn you that the first few sessions were slow as I was learning the track, you should have just skipped to the last two .

It is justthe vid that it seems slow, as I feel like they are being banged straight in. Ask Lee, he has been out in it .

it's weird how a video makes it all slow,

i agreed the gear changes makes it look slow, even on the straights it looks slow, until you realise which gear you are in and speed you pass some people

the 306 look ok, any idea on spec?

Was full boost that day, as Snetterton has a 105 dB limit .

Was a GTi 6 on throttle bodies and lots of trick suspension mods (so I heard). Went really well for what it was . I was hitting a peak of 146mph on the pit straight......
