cheers glenn,

i hate it when somebody will comment after reading the first post of a thread, the idea of a thread is a ongoing discussion so how a judgement and statement can be made after the 1st post is beyond me just hope mgtkr1 isnt in a murder trial and turn up late

any brown/black on tthe floor is multipurpose grease, all the floor is smeared with the stuff but as you can see all original and done to a good standard, the front shows spreader plates on each angle

and this rear drop bar i can only assume its too stop suspension drop round hard cornering

Interesting, guess it must make it practical. I assume the frame stiffens the chassis.

yes it stiffens it right up its the best handling mk4 i have drove and ive had my fair share, fair play to whoever fitted it and fabricated it,if i want to remove it i would have to get te grinder out though i plan on leaving it in for safety factor if i get t boned or the likes

thats my point i was trying to get across to others who assumed it was there to hide rot,any odd colour there even on pic is grease and fluff from the sound deadening,

i was thorough when i bought it and lifted the carpets it is tagged into the front seatbolt cros beams and the front riggers have triangular strengthener plates its not as good now on the oz wheels but back on the 15s it made me grin

i really need to buy a camera this is how the car sits at the minute

if anyone sees me out be sure to give me a wave

Looks good fella! Just a heads up.... the black can be removed with a compound and rotary polisher which will reveal the white paint underneath

luke it seems to be an anti drop bar for hard cornering so it will limit suspension travel
