Default New here and info on car please

Evening all.

Im Darren, 30 and from Chester. I currently drive an Astra VXR but have been browsing the site as a guest for a long time.

Tomorrow morning I am going to view this Escort Cosworth:

http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2733978.htm

Is this a known car to anyone on here? What should I look out for?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Daz.

Maybe ask on the Rsoc website as it looks like the owner or last onwer was a member of the RSOC and maybe some one on there might know it

personly im fed up with blue cossies, what about a red one, same year, same money, less miles, and in concourse condition, also up your end of the country

Hi Darren I'm from Chester, small world eh? The main things with cossies is rust, accident damage and obviously the running gear. Make sure you check it inside out and underneath. Check the numbers all correspond. Check for any gash repairs or welding where it shouldn't be. Make sure you road test it. Listen to the engine from cold and take it for a good run. Make sure its not overheating and there's no gearbox/transmissions noises or problems. They are a pretty rugged car providing that they've been maintained properly. By the way if you want the same car for a lot less money go and look at some 4x4 saffs as an escort is a saff with a different body on
