Bedford Autodrome, Thurleigh Airfield, Thurleigh, Bedfordshire. MK44 2YP
Tel: 01234 332400 Fax: 01234 332415
From the North
Leave the M1 at junction 19 and join the A14 eastbound towards Kettering. Stay on the A14 for about 24 miles and exit at J10 signposted A6 to Rushden and Bedford. Travel south on the A6 for about 16 miles (including following the Rushden 1-way system) until you get to a roundabout at Sharnbrook. Turn left, signposted 'Bedford Technology Park'. After about 1 mile turn left into Thurleigh Airfield Business Park. At the entrance to the site follow the Bedford Autodrome signs.
From the South through Bedford
(Shorter route and simpler to follow but there may be more traffic though)
Likely to take 10-20 minutes longer. Leave the M1 at junction 13 and take the A421 towards Bedford and Cambridge. Take the A6 north towards Bedford and go through Bedford town centre following the A6 towards Rushden and Kettering. As the dual carriageway section of the A6 ends you will approach the village of Milton Ernest. Mind the speed camera and follow the A6 through the village. 3 miles after Milton Ernest, turn right at a roundabout signposted “Bedford Technology Park”. After about 1 mile turn left into Thurleigh Airfield Business Park. At the entrance to the site follow the Bedford Autodrome signs.
From the South avoiding Bedford
(Prettier route that should take 10-20 minutes less)
Leave the M1 at Junction 14 and take the A509 towards Newport Pagnell and Bedford. After 1.6 miles turn right at a roundabout towards Wellingborough and Olney and then immediately straight over another roundabout. After 2 miles go straight over a roundabout towards Wellingborough (still A509). Do not turn right here to Bedford. Continue along the A509 through Olney until you come to a roundabout signposted right to Lavendon and Bedford on B565 Take this exit and after 1.5 miles take the left fork to Lavendon. You will enter Lavendon village. At the T-junction turn right towards Bedford. Continue through Lavendon village, and then turn left signposted to Harrold and Sharnbrook. Go through Harrold and turn left at the T-junction signposted Odell and Sharnbrook. After 0.3 of a mile, turn right to Odell and Sharnbrook and go through both villages. In Sharnbrook, turn right at “The Cake Shop” T-junction towards Milton Ernest. Continue on this road (do not fork left) until a large roundabout (A6). Go straight across this roundabout, signposted “Bedford Technology Park”. After about 1 mile turn left into Thurleigh Airfield Business Park. At the entrance to the site follow the Bedford Autodrome signs.
I HAVE JUST DRIVEN THIS ROUTE AND IT IS MUCH EASIER THAN GOING THROUGH BEDFORD TOWN CENTRE!

One question ladies....
Obviously we would like to keep as many valuable items out of the track cars as possible, cameras, fuel and clothing etc. will there be any secure location to store these items? Lockers etc?
Cheers,
Dan

for all the people that are thinking of going on the A421 off J13 M1 , it is a very bad road which is always caked in mud/bricks and a lot of lorries use it so you will be stuck behind one and get your nicely polished car dirty
the other way is better, avoiding bedford!!
