Default Using ABS ring for Stack speedo?

thinking of ideas to run the speed sensor on the 205,

i know i can use hub bolts, or a magnet on drive shaft

but how about utilising the abs ring on 205 hub which had ABS?

why would i need to be good with electronics?

i have a stack speed sensor, just the case on making a bracket,

BUT using the ABS ring as a pickup

thats all i'm asking realling,

not using the ABS sensor as a speed sensor

In the stack kit there should be instructions on the minimum and maximum pick up points per revolution there should be, count how many teeth on the abs and see if it can be utilised

i "think" the sensor it sensor it's self might be magnetic so just needs something to pass the end of it, like the rear of a wheel stud for example

As said just needs a magnetic metal item to pick up on, like a brake bell bolt

i know when the abs sensor is fitted and the wheels are spining (driving) they create a magnetic charge not sure that would mess with the stack sensor?

I don't think the abs is used? Its a track car so the sensor should be fine, need t make sure the tooth count is within the stacks range per rpm, I think it would be fine, as long as the the depth of the tooth is enough

It doesn't generate a magnetic field, it induces a square wave form using the abs ring, so long as it's within the range of "counts" per rotation of the wheel/(gearing) for the stack, it will be fine.
